Augur
Where capital meets context.
Augur is a platform that connects private networks of angel investors and family offices to early-stage startups, matched through semantic search and contextual signal. We designed and built the web application that runs both sides of the network: the investor side and the founder side, each with the actual features the platform runs on.
Founders log in to a workspace built around a single profile of their company. Thesis, traction, team, raise stage, all editable in place and embedded in the background against the network's investor preferences. They see, in real time, which investors in the network are currently matching their profile, with a similarity score and a short explanation of why. They can adjust how visible they are, message matched investors directly, and track introductions in a single thread. One screen, one company, every relevant conversation.
Investors log in to a feed built around their stated and inferred thesis. The platform surfaces new founders matched against their preferences each day, ranked by semantic relevance rather than recency. Each founder card opens a focused view: the company, the founders, the traction, the match logic, the option to introduce. Investors refine the engine through use, signalling interest or pass on each surfaced founder, and the embeddings learn from every action.
